Division of Compliance Assistance & Kentucky Prevention Pollution Center Conduct Area Source Boiler Rule Assistance Training

The Division of Compliance Assistance (DCA) Environmental Assistance Branch teamed up with the Kentucky Pollution Prevention Center (KPPC) to provide a one-day workshop and two webinars to assist facilities with understanding the new air quality area source boiler rule put out by  the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The purpose of the workshop and webinars was to help facilities determine if they are subject to the new rule, assist with any reporting requirements and provide guidance on the emission limitations, tune-up and energy assessment compliance requirements outlined in the rule.

If you missed the workshop and webinars in January, and your facility has a boiler that burns biomass, oil or coal and you are not sure what you need to do to be in compliance, you can view one or both of the webinars here: Area Source Boiler Rule Webinar videos

If you are subject to the rule and need an energy assessment, and your boiler has less than 0.3 TBtu/yr heat input capacity, KPPC can assist, at no charge, up to five Kentucky facilities.

For questions about the Area Source Boiler Rule or you would like to schedule an energy assessment, contact DCA at 800-926-8111 or email envhelp@ky.gov.
