Kentucky Division of Waste Management Offers Training Opportunity

ITRC LNAPL Course, June 3-4, 2014, Lexington, Ky.

The Kentucky Division of Waste Management in partnership with Kentucky Petroleum Marketers Association is hosting a training course on light non-aqueous phase liquids (LNAPLs). LNAPL assessment and remediation presents a significant challenge for corrective action and cleanup at petroleum processing, storage, and handling facilities such as refineries, bulk product terminals, gas stations, airports and military bases.

Developed by the Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council (ITRC) and led by internationally recognized experts, this course engages participants in hands-on problem solving exercises that are focused on real-world, site applications.

This course is relevant for all levels of state and federal regulators involved in LNAPL remediation programs, environmental consultants, technically inclined site owners, public stakeholders, and others interested in using science-based approaches to assess, remediate, and close LNAPL sites. Kentucky is sending approximately 40 staff to attend.

Seats are still available. To view the full course description or register for the course go to ITRC’s website today
