Environmental professionals recently attended a two-day training course in Lexington, Ky.
The Kentucky Division of Waste Management hosted the Interstate Technology & Regulatory Council light, non-aqueous phase liquid (LNAPL) training course. LNAPLs are liquids such as gasoline, diesel, or other petroleum-based fuel, waste oil, and crude oil that don’t generally mix with water. LNAPLs are common at petroleum manufacturing, storage, and handling facilities such as refineries, bulk-product terminals, gas stations, airports, and military bases.
The training was well attended by representatives from state agencies, the federal government, and the private sector.
