Energy and Environment Secretary Charles Snavely announced the addition of two new people to the management team at the Department for Natural Resources.
William (Bill) Steele, Jr., has been appointed to Director for the Division of Forestry, effective Monday, Feb. 8, 2016. Bill is a native of Columbia, Kentucky, and has been the President and CEO of Kentucky Tie and Lumber Company, a business he founded and built into an employer of 80 people, in Columbia. Bill has a B.S. degree in Forestry from the University of the South and is a past President of the Kentucky Forest Industries Association. Bill’s forestry business experience is a great addition to the excellent forestry management personnel at the Division of Forestry.
Danny Hall has been appointed to Executive Director of the Office of the Kentucky Reclamation Guaranty Fund, also effective Monday. Danny is a native of Prestonsburg, and a resident of Lexington, where he was a principal in the firm Environmental Resources Management Consulting Company. Danny is a graduate mining engineer from the University of Kentucky and he holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration, also from U.K. Danny has mining and risk management experience well suited to guiding the efforts of the Guaranty Fund Commission.
