The Kentucky Division of Compliance Assistance is hosting a Floodplains, Streams and Wetlands Compliance Workshop on April 13, 2016. The workshop is intended to educate attendees on key topics, programs, regulations, compliance requirements and permits associated with activities conducted in or along a stream, floodplain or wetland.
Some of these activities may include stream alteration or relocation; small impoundments of water; dredging or filling; working with dams, bridges or culverts; or building residential and commercial buildings. Knowledge and expertise of regulation compliance will be brought to you by the U.S. Corps of Engineers, Ky. Dept. of Fish and Wildlife, Northern Kentucky University and Ky. Division of Water. Attendees will receive an overview of 404 U.S. Army Corps of Engineer Permits, 401 Water Quality Certification and Floodplain Stream Construction Programs. The workshop will provide a general understanding of potential applicability and requirements in order to avoid regulatory compliance issues.
The half-day workshop will take place the morning of April 13, 2016, at the DEP Training Center, 300 Fair Oaks Lane, in Frankfort, Ky. Please see the workshop’s agenda for additional details.
