The mini grants would fund local educational, outreach and organizational activities to improve water quality issues in the basins.
A total of $35,000 in grant money is available. Applications must be submitted by Sept. 30, 2016. Recipients will be notified of their awards on Nov. 30, 2016.

The mini grants are funded federally through the Clean Water Act 319(h) funding pool. Applications will be reviewed and ranked by a panel to determine which projects will receive funds.
A 20 percent match in non-federal funds, local in-kind funds or cash is required to receive the grant.
