  • Come celebrate – Join our annual Earth Day celebration this Thursday, April 21st.  Check out the vendors that will be on site and read all about the planned festivities on Page 5.

  • Renewable energy – This last-in-a-series of articles about Kentucky’s drive for energy independence focuses on wind and how it can be a viable energy source in our state.  Kenya Stump of the Department for Energy Development and Independence answers questions about the cost of wind energy, how it works and the challenges facing its growth in Kentucky on Page 1.
  • Faces of the cabinet – This new series will focus on one employee and discuss their work and the programs offered to the citizens of the Commonwealth.  This issue it is Chris Oelschlager of the Division of Forestry.  She discusses the programs Forestry offers the public and showcases some of her fabulous photography.  Read more about her on Page 5.
