Sec. Snavely Opens Governor’s Conference

(Lexington, KY  Sept. 21, 2016) – Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet Secretary Charles Snavely kicked off the 40th Governor’s Conference on Energyimg_1568 and the Environment with opening remarks where he stressed the need to balance protecting Kentucky’s abundant natural resources with promoting the commonwealth’s economic growth.

The Secretary was followed by a panel of business leaders who discussed different aspects of corporate sustainability. Speakers discussed how energy sustainability is not only the right thing to do for the environment but it makes the most business sense. As John Gagel, of Lexmark, said, “Cost, quality and deliverability plus sustainability is the Holy Grail.”
