The Division of Compliance Assistance (DCA) is hosting an Environmental Assistance Workshop in Owensboro, on Dec. 8. The workshop will assist regulated facilities in understanding and complying with environmental regulations. Speakers from the Division for Air Quality, Division of Water, Division of Waste Management and DCA will be covering common permits and authorizations issued by the Department for Environmental Protection (DEP).
This introductory workshop will be divided into three main sessions, each focusing on a different division of DEP. The first session will cover the Clean Air Act and be geared toward helping facilities understand the air permitting application process.
The second session will help attendees understand regulations governing the disposal of hazardous wastes and universal wastes and how to comply with those regulations.
The final session will focus on various permits issued under the Clean Water Act, including industrial and construction stormwater permits and how to comply. After each discussion, the audience will become familiar with the common violations seen by each division and how to avoid them.
