Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection Commissioner Aaron Keatley today announced the appointment of Nina Hockensmith as director of the Division of Environmental Program Support (DEPS).

Hockensmith, a 28-year veteran of the Department for Environmental Protection, spent the first part of her career in the Division for Air Quality.  In 2012, she joined DEPS and over the last year has led the division as acting director.  Nina is a native of Frankfort and has one son and a 7 year old granddaughter.

“I am very appreciative of the support Nina and her team has provided us all in the past,” Keatley said. “I look forward to Nina’s ongoing leadership as director of DEPS.”
