The Division of Compliance Assistance (DCA) will host an Air Permitting and Compliance Workshop Feb. 8 in Frankfort at the DEP Training Center at 300 Sower Blvd. The workshop will educate attendees about air regulations and permitting so they understand and can comply with their environmental regulations. Speakers from DCA and the Division for Air Quality (DAQ) will be explaining how to obtain an air quality permit and follow the requirements of the permit.
This one-day, interactive workshop will help those new to air permitting understand the basics, including how to conduct an air assessment, calculate potential emissions, maintain recordkeeping and complete permit-required reports. Attendees will participate in an interactive activity to apply their learning and practice basic emission calculations.
Additionally, the audience will hear from DAQ representatives regarding upcoming regulation changes, hear about common violations, and how to avoid a notice of violation.
This introductory-level workshop will be beneficial for environmental or facility managers, small business owners, consultants, educational institutions, health and safety professionals, economic development professionals or anyone who needs an overview of environmental permits.
The cost of the workshop will be $80 for general admission and $40 for KY EXCEL members. To register for this event, please visit https://dca.ticketleap.com/. The registration deadline is Feb. 6.
