The 300 Building at Sower Blvd. in Frankfort got its official christening yesterday from Gov. Matt Bevin, Finance Cabinet Secretary William M. Landrum, III, Frankfort Mayor Bill May and a host of other dignitaries.
The Leed Silver rated strutcure boasts more than 370,000 square feet and houses 1,500 employees from the Education and Workforce Development and the Energy and Environment Cabinets.
It was conceived from a public/private partnership and was a collaboration of EOP Architects, D.W. Wilburn LLC of Lexington, and The CRM Companies, which designed, built and financed the structure.
Employees started moving into the 300 building in June and it was filled by the fall.
