Three Kentucky Organizations Recognized for Energy Efficiency Programs

Energy and Environment Cabinet Secretary Charles Snavely would like to recognize three Kentucky organizations/business for receiving the 2017 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year, awarded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The Kentucky School Boards Association (KSBA), Frankfort, Ky., Kenton County School District (KCSD), Fort Wright, Ky., and Big Ass Solutions of Lexington are among the 143 businesses and organizations to receive the prestigious award for their commitment to saving energy, saving money, and protecting the environment through superior energy efficiency and achievements.

KSBA and KCSD both received consecutive Sustained Excellence Awards in the Energy Efficiency Program Delivery category and Energy Management category respectively.  Big Ass Solutions of Lexington is a consecutive recipient of the Excellence Award for Product Design.

The 2017 ENERGY STAR Award winners lead their industries in the production and sale of energy-efficient products and services, and in the development and adoption of strategies that provide substantial energy and money savings in buildings where people live and work.

The Partner of the Year award winners are selected from a network of 16,000 organizations that participate in the ENERGY STAR program.  Kentucky is among 34 states recognized this year nationwide. The awards will be presented April 26 in Washington, DC.
