The Division of Compliance Assistance will host a workshop focusing on assisting and educating regulated entities on better understanding and complying with water quality regulations. The workshop will be held April 19 at the Big Sandy Area Development District, 110 Resource Drive # 101, Prestonsburg, Ky.
The introductory, one-day workshop will cover the Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act, Kentucky Pollution Discharge Elimination System (KPDES) permits, floodplain management and permitting, stormwater management, and environmental inspections. Speakers from the Division of Water and Division of Compliance Assistance will be highlighting water quality regulations and how facilities can maintain compliance with them. The workshop targets environmental or facility managers, small business owners, consultants, and representatives of construction companies.
