The Division of Compliance Assistance is hosting a workshop focusing on assisting and educating regulated entities so they understand and can comply with waste regulations. The workshop will be held at the Big Sandy Area Development District, 110 Resource Dr # 101, Prestonsburg, Ky., on March 20, 2018.
This introductory-level workshop will be beneficial for environmental or facility managers, small business owners, consultants, representatives of medical or healthcare facilities or anyone who deals with hazardous waste. Speakers from the Division of Waste Management and Division of Compliance Assistance will be highlighting existing and upcoming hazardous waste regulations and how industrial and manufacturing facilities can maintain compliance with them.
This one-day workshop will cover current waste regulations, solid waste disposal methods, how to conduct hazardous waste determinations, and a regulation update covering the Generator Improvement Rule and fees. The afternoon sessions will explain how to manage universal and common violations and how to avoid them.
