FRANKFORT, Ky. (Sept. 25, 2018) – The OIL and GAS WORKGROUP will meet from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018 in conference room 332 at the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet, 300 Sower Boulevard, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601.

Agenda:
1) Update on status of DNR regulations to implement SB249 (Michael Mullins).
2) Status of discussions regarding the PHMSA farm tap rule subgroup and letter the PHMSA discussed at August meeting (subgroup members).
3) Industry feedback and input on draft legislation dealing with:
(a) enhanced enforcement ability
(b) enhanced ability to address bonding needs and O&C issues
(c) sustainable authorization fee schedule
(d) proposed plugging of orphaned well and cleanup of abandoned tanks using PSTEAF funds
3) Public Comment Period: Written comments may be submitted by guests for consideration by the work group. Comments will be compiled and disseminated to work group members for their consideration prior to subsequent meetings.
