The Energy and Environment Cabinet’s Division of Compliance Assistance (DCA) will hold a FREE workshop on Annual Compliance Certification (ACC) and the Semi-Annual Monitoring Report (SAMR) on Jan. 9, 2020 at the Energy and Environment Cabinet’s office at 300 Sower Boulevard in Frankfort.
The Air Compliance Reporting Workshop will include presentations designed to help attendees understand their air quality permit and the reporting form. The afternoon will consist of an open house where attendees can talk directly to DCA and DAQ staff to ask questions about their permits and reporting requirements. Attendees should review the ACC/SAMR self-paced learning modules available at eec.ky.gov and bring a copy of their permit and any air reporting records. Attendees must register at DCA’s Ticketleap page by Jan. 7, 2020.
The ACC serves as a yearly self-assessment for compliance. The SAMR is a bi-annual report that contains more detail regarding permit-required monitoring. All air quality permit holders must submit both to the Division for Air Quality (DAQ) by Jan. 30, 2020. The reports should be submitted electronically via the Kentucky Online Gateway, the new preferred method, or mailed directly to the local DAQ regional office. Major sources must still submit copies of the Annual Compliance Certification form to the EPA Region 4 office in Atlanta, GA.
